Here is the perfect example of me designing for the client! It is about each person's comfort zone & the aesthetic they want. Having our retail location in WHB is how we met, and I did some projects for them in that summer home. They decided to live in Darien, and luckily, they said they couldn't do it without me! Especially since this is such a traditional home, and they tend to lean into modern elements. Keeping the overall color palate calm, cool, and quiet is how I managed to add in lots of wow moments, from the simplest detail of painting the wood handrail in the staircase high gloss black to incorporating fuschia high gloss sideboards in the tonal living room. For me, the key to creating the flow was all about fewer beautiful, special things that sat well together rather than lots of things just because... letting the high ceilings, trim details, wide plank wood floors all speak for themselves...truth be told it's not hard to make a house this beautiful nice...but to tailor it to each client I meet! There were some other areas that needed to be reconfigured, such as the primary bathroom & all-important drop zone! We did everything from floor planning & renderings, designed cabinetry, chose hardware, beautiful lighting, window treatments, and the details of accessorizing. This client & friend understand the process of design and love to leave certain things in my hands. It is not that I don't always do my best, but my heart and soul truly shine when given the freedom to be creative.
This shop has talent at its core. Not the kind you can learn, the kind you just have. They walk into your house and just know. The pictures are hung too high/low, the color is wrong, you need different stuff. And the best part is - they know exactly what you need. Not stuff you would pick yourself, ever. But stuff that works to make your space look amazing. They turned our house into our HOME. Stylish, comfortable, and oh-so-compliment-able. Yeah, since Stacy and Laura were here, we get oh so many compliments on {our} excellent taste. Thank you Stacey & Laura. Amazing talent.

House to Home Interiors is an excellent design firm. Stacey's talent for color selection is exemplary and her creative design ideas and implementation are superb. My designer for more years than I care to admit! Stacey has the best color sense I have ever seen and always comes up with suggestions that I love. Her design esthetic is so creative and on trend, but I always feel that she understands my style and takes that into consideration when she proposes an idea. I wouldn't consider consulting anyone else for work in my house - she's always my first call and I've never regretted it!
